To fill out the application for registration, first select a name consisting no more than 26 letters/spaces. In the event of the selected name being previously taken, the owner will be notified and offered a second selection.
AGHR reserves the right to reject a name for any reason if the name is deemed unsuitable. The owner of the mare at time of foaling reserves the right to include their
farm name or acceptable abbreviation as part of the registered name of that horse.
All information submitted must be true and correct to the best of the
owner(s)/applicant(s) knowledge. The application must be completely filled out and signed in ink.
We only accept horses from the United States into the registry at this time.
At least 3 color photographs must accompany the application. Please make sure that all pictures you send are of the best possible quality and show all elements needed for descriptions. One clear photo of each full view side of the horse, showing the entire full body of the animal looking straight forward showing the side of the face, the legs, all four hooves (including close-ups if they carry any markings), and one of the face taken straight at the face clearly showing any facial markings. Do Not send digital copy prints. These will not transfer clearly. If any photographs are not of the quality necessary to complete the application they will not be accepted nor returned unless they included a SASE. If an email is included we will contact you for additional images and your payment will not post until the application is completed. If no contact is made we will not post your payment and the application will not be completed! This registry relies on clear and concise information and images to assist in disputes and theft and we will not deter from our policy.
Any additional photo's showing markings, scars, brands, etc. are encouraged as they could assist in identification (mark the physical location and description on the back of the photo). All photo's become part of AGHR's registry and will not be returned unless a stamped self addressed envelope accompanies the application. We encourage you to leave photographs in your file as to assist in any possible recovery efforts in the event of theft!
